50's Sweater Grey Marl
£180

The 50’s Sweater by Harry Stedman is a classic take on the sweatshirt, with a fit just slightly on the boxy side.

As with all Harry Stedman products, the impressive details show the brand’s deep understanding of manufacturing. Ribbed tacos – the triangle of fabric underneath the neck – feature on the front and back.

The raglan stitch follows an alluring curve rather than simply jutting from neck to armpit. There are no side seams as the body is made using a tubular knit construction.

The sweatshirt is constructed in Japan.

The UK’s Harry Stedman is focused on clothing with purpose. Inspired by the transatlantic adventures of a merchant seaman in the sixties, the brand uses tales of the past to inform the design of its utilitarian and functional line.

While deeply respectful of history, the brand is equally modern in its approach, taking the classic menswear staples of yesteryear and modernising these for a contemporary consumer.
