Tokyo-based Nanamica is a sportswear apparel company that uses high-performance, specialist technical fabrics. Their clothing is exceptionally high quality and built for extreme environments but also suited for practical everyday city wear. Nanamica means House of the Seven Seas and reflects their adventurous and functional ethos, matching an active, timeless aesthetic with high-end construction and fabric technology.

Made from a crisp, midweight 70% cotton and 30% nylon fabric that’s been oil-coated so it’s water resistant and practical for wear in inclement weather. The plain weave has a stiff drape that creases a little when wearing, and the khaki is a solid, dusty forest green. The lower back and the inner pockets are made from a 100% polyester taffeta in a very similar colour.

The jacket is practical, with two interior patch pockets, an interior zip pocket, and two exterior jetted pockets - one of the jets is extended and sewn down to become a neat, secure flap. The cuffs have a neat slit secured with a bar tack, and an interior polyester elasticated cuff to keep out water and wind. The jacket is unlined and finished to a high quality with topstitching on the main seams.

Riaz is 185cm / 6’1, usually wears a Large, has a 30” waist and is wearing a size M.
